Bungalow Renovation

Before

After

I bought a 1930s bungalow recently and this is the story of the renovation. I have taken off the chimneys and removed the chimney-breasts. Built an extension, new kitchen, bathroom and redecorated. See and read more.

Family Tree

Family Tree

My Uncle and I have been tracing our family tree for several years now after two close relatives passed away. Tracing the family line has been a lovely way to remember our lost relatives and it's quite astonishing to find out family secrets that were, previously, never allowed to be talked of! Sailing

Sailing and more sailing

I bought this laser just last year and have been trying to master it ever since. I love it, mainly because I don't sail it that often but sail with my brother as crew on his Enterprise. We've just about mastered staying dry in the rockiest boat ever designed by a deep-sea diver and hope to start moving up the fleet. I recently invested in a dry-suit having sailed through the winter/frost-bite season, can you blame me ... season starts again in March and I can't wait ... Pictures

Trekking expeditions

Trekking through the Universe!

I trekked through many expeditions while serving in the army and I hope to add a few of my Diaries from these expeditions in Africa, Nepal, Sardinia, Ireland and the French Pyrenees. Pictures

Army days

I was in the British Army for 14 years and loved every minute of it. I saw the world, even though the careers officer said that there was little opportunity to see it all, I certainly made the best of it. Sure I went to Aldershot, Germany and Northern Ireland, but I also saw Africa, Nepal, Australia and Thailand! Pictures
