The Kitchen

26 Dec 2007. The kitchen as it was, very small with a toilet room to the side. Ripped out the kitchen cupboards first.

Knocking down the wall

28/29 Dec 2007 - Took out the dividing wall with my sledgehammer, breeze block this time, no bricks! Knocked out the wall but a stubborn piece of wood cemented into the floor remained. Hitting this with the sledgehammer made no effect!

Clearing the kitchen

01 Jan 2008. Used a saw to get the piece of wood out in the end.

My cousin told me how to remove the sink and the boiler and I traded in the copper piping and made a few quid!

21 Jan 2008. Filled in the gulley left by removing the wall, with cement.

Kitchen

Bare wall of the kitchen, new window in the far corner, first fix electrics and then plaster boarded.
